A writing tool for the development phase: a distraction-free, subscription-free editor tailored specifically for script formatting.

Built on React and TipTap/ProseMirror for the text engine, ScriptAID has made the leap to Tauri v2 (and Rust), leaving Electron behind for superior performance and a drastically reduced app footprint. The project uses an open proprietary format (.sfgx) and exports cleanly to Final Draft (FDX), Fountain, and PDF, allowing the script to integrate frictionlessly into the rest of the pipeline, ScriptDoc included.

Next to the script sit a list of scenes, characters and locations with estimated durations, and an AI writing assistant that works on the selected text: it rewrites, continues, finds ideas and analyzes the scene.
