Before you can price a project there is one unavoidable step, the script breakdown. It is usually done by hand, scene by scene, and every element you miss becomes a budget problem later. The tools that automate it almost always live in the cloud on a subscription, and the script ends up on someone else’s servers.
ScriptDoc imports the screenplay, extracts cast, props, costumes, vehicles, effects, animals, extras and locations for every scene, and gives each element a confidence score: uncertain ones are flagged for review. Export is to Excel or CSV.
The project is a single file on your computer, with the last 50 revisions saved. Today extraction uses explicit, verifiable rules, but the engine is a swappable module: a language model can be plugged in without rewriting the rest.
Not yet: built-in cost estimation is only designed.
